Modern Damp Proofing, Inc. – DBA – Rocky Mountain Waterproofing has been around for over 60 years now and is still going strong. We started as a company doing solely Damp Proofing in 1960 with Larry R. as the president of the company. The company later passed to Cecil Douglas who ran the company for a few years and then sold the company to his Brother McKay Douglas.
Over the years as a company we transitioned from focusing on Damp Proofing to Waterproofing. This change in focus is evident in our Company Name. Originally we were known as Modern Damp Proofing. It made sense that we should make our name match our vision. In 1996 we registered the name Rocky Mountain Waterproofing. We still do Damp Proofing but we have worked hard to advance construction here in Utah by educating people about the importance of Waterproofing.
Rocky Mountain Waterproofing is a Family Business that has grown over the years. McKay passed the role of President to Justin his son who was instrumental in helping Rocky Mountain to grow, expand, and utilize Technology to help us be more efficient. Justin passed the torch to his siblings to focus on his vision of helping other business through leadership training and consulting.
We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of so many that have helped us to get to where we are today. We have had and continue to have wonderful employees that work hard and do things the Rocky Mountain Waterproofing way of “Doing It Right The First Time”.
